I’m delighted that The Crowood Press has asked me to write a new book on illumination. I’ll be covering not only traditional techniques, showing how to use them in classical and contemporary ways, but also reviewing modern gilding sizes and explaining how best to use them.

The book has been printed and is on its way from the printers to distributors by sea. Not long now, I hope – I just can’t give you a definite date!

The publishers tell me the book will arrive at the UK distibutors at the beginning of November. Blackwells and Wordery apparently offer free worldwide shipping. Amazon will get their copies later, as they buy through a wholesaler. Please order through an independent book shop if you can.

US publication will be sometime in April / May 2025. I have no idea why this is so much later, I’m afraid.
