I’ve lost count of the number of demonstrations I’ve done over the years, but here are a few photos. I enjoy meeting people and telling them about the world of illumination and I get to work in some beautiful buildings too!

Left: demonstrating in the Roman Catholic Cathdral in Armargh, one of four Cathedrals I worked in on a tour of Northern Ireland.
Above and right: demonstrating for the Society of Scribes and Illuminators in London.

Above: chatting to visitors at York Art Gallery whilst demonstrating silverpoint and egg tempera as part of the stunning ‘Making a Masterpiece: Bouts and Beyond’ exhibition.

Right: Lincoln Cathedral. I can often be found working in the Wren Library when it’s open during the summer season. Photo by Jim Newton who made me laugh as he pressed the shutter!
