Small group tuition
I’m happy to teach small groups online. Up to 15 students works well, with plenty of time for questions, feedback and conversation about gilding techniques. I prefer to see my students face-to-face where possible. Lecturing to a silent Zoom screen of printed names just isn’t my style!

Toni was absolutely wonderful. Her teaching stretched from experienced illuminators to complete beginners and she made sure everyone understood the processes involved. Her easy conversation made it a pleasure to be part of this class. It was extremely enjoyable. Thank you, Toni!
Thank you, too, Gemma, for your friendly management of the whole four weeks! MH

Individual Tuition
My apologies – I’m not offering individual tuition at the moment due to other commitments.
A private student in New York, taught to gild on Zoom:
‘We’ve talked about my struggles with gesso and how frustrating it has been. Today, I can finally put all that behind me. A mirror shine! I could finally see my face in the gold itself and the way it captures the light is so much more powerful than anything I’ve done before. I couldn’t help but be elated at the results. Thank you again for showing me how. As a friend told me when I called them excitedly about the results, “sometimes all you need is to be shown how”, and you’ve shown me how, so again thank you’.
